Today Te Manga went to the  film festival  with 8 other kids from Te kauru. When we got to Te  Ahu we saw a red capt we were so  excited. to walk on the red capt when we got inside we saw all the  schools photo bod. When we went in I felt  good. After we watched all the films we went to Mc Donalds.

Draft Writing - Duffy Show

Duffy was so excited because he  was going to his favourite cousins house for the school holidays.wen Duffy got to his favourite cousins Sam was playing magic bricks Sam was sooo addicted to the game.When ever Duffy seed samthing she will ignore him and say OK  wot ever and then  Duffy put on then  nana's  glasses and did the dumpling dance.

T3 W7 - Patiki - Water and Wind

WALT increase our vocabulary by choosing interesting and tricky words in the text.

Interesting or Tricky Words	Meaning

mountains	A mountain is a very high places bigger than a hill
fierce	Fierce is another name for vilnt
rainwater	Rainwater is water from clouds
clouds	A white or grey mass of water and there heaps of different types of  clouds

Explain each part of the water cycle in your own words.

Evaporation is when  the sun warms the water and terns into vapour.

Condensation is when the vapour rises  into the  sky and then it cools down and turns into water droplets.


Precipitation is when water droplets join together and gte very heavy and fall from the sky .        

The Hare and the Tortoise first draft

Today we watched the NZ play house  show it was called the Hare and the Tortoise it was funny the carters were the Hare the ginger bread man and  a Tortoise.Wen we sat done the girl was making as laugh.wen the show stater a hare came out and then a ginger bread man came out to.They started  to mace  us laugh  wen the show started.The hare and the ginger bread man had a race. 

First Draft the great reading adventure

I have written about my class assembly.I am at the editing stage so you might see some mistakes.I am still  working on it and will post my published writing next week.




Mason Last Friday it was my sperrb class assembly it was called the great reading adventure.
In my group was Millan Kevin Tomoana and cad and Zaviah. Zaviah was iron man  I was batman Millan was Hallk Tomoana was spider man.
Zaviah on set far is was the cat and the hat  Hori was the cat and the hat  Alani was Thing 1  Awhi was thing 2. Scene 3 Teina was Maui one of Jai was Maui brother   Riley  was one of Maui brothers to and more the sun was atma teina saved now and the brathers jump out and pulled the  ropes Jais rope got stuck in atmas Mask. Ka Pai Kai with Whaea Anna

WALT cook healthy food with Whaea Anna. She is teaching us all about healthy eating.

My group is group 1 in my group is Mason.T and Kaydee also Reina. We are making nachos. For the nachos we need mince and  cheese and Doritos, oil, a pan and sour cream. I am looking forward to start cooking the nachos I can not wait.

Amazing Water Facts

We are learning all about water this term we have found out some amazing water facts.

Did you know a rat is the animal that can last the longest without water?

When I stared filming I felt amazing and like a god.

My Wonderful sentences

I have been learning how to copy and paste from our class writing flip charts to share our learning. I know how to insert bullet points and use the highlighting tool.

We know that wonderful sentences need:

• detail  (elaboration)
• capital letters and full stops
• Punctuation (, ! ? “ “)
• quality vocab - WOW words

WALT recognise different parts of speech.

• Nouns are naming words. Eg. chair, book, July, Awhi

• Adjectives describe nouns. Eg. wooden chair, writing book, freezing July, lovely Awhi

• Verbs are doing words. Eg run, walk, jump, skip, chew

• Adverbs describe verbs. Eg. briskly running, slowly walking, jumping high, skipping happily and chewing noisily.

Tuna Kuwharuharu (Longfin Eel)

This term we have been learning all about the Long Fin Eel.  

Our assembly item was based on the story Velvet and Elvis. This was a story about the migration journey that the longfin eel takes.

I have shared the life cycle of the longfin eel on a google drawing.



I have also shared 5 interesting facts I know on a google doc poster.

Rarangi Matahiko - Our Waitangi Learning Journey

Last Tuesday I got off the bus at Waitangi and whaea Monika  and whaea Kerry greeted us. Next we went into the class but there was an art gallery. It was  pack with whale  paintings. Then we had a glimpse of the class.We had digital technology then we had a korero about eels. After that we had a talk and  had a look at some rocks-achtnt tools 3rd we did some work on scratch we had to put our sprites on scratch and put a sick backdrop. 4th we  went  to the eels I Nelly ford in the bandanna pond I was trendiness  to leve  I  was sleepy  when  I got home I got knock out  in the sleeping  way.

The Very Hungry Kina

MY mouth is  sooo dry I can not talk it was crazy until it all started. Oh now I am terviyd intill the snapper came owt. I want to go haaaa.  The snapper krakt open a kiner then the fisherman kam along to the shore of matiy bay. He pot same bat on the hook and kast it out. the spoteys took a kereys look but one of the big snappers come along and took the bat but the other snapper was sad thea the other snapper got pulled up to the sefis. A diver kam he was not mesing aran he fownd the reef he snekt to grab the krafish he got them. The kina now rold the reef the kinas bit of a bit of kallp the kinas grow and mottaplied and the kinner dance to bad to the bon. Then the fisherman tokt to the diver.
